SWYAMBHUNATH:
It is one of the oldest Stupas in the Kathmandu valley. Sitting on top of the hill to the west of the valley, its unique architecture is one of the most easily recognizable symbols of Nepal. From here one enjoys sweeping and expansive views of Kathmandu city. Legend has it that once upon a time the valley was a lake known as the serpent’s lake. Saint Manjushree cut the southern part of the valley and drained the water out, making Swayambhunath the first exit and an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists

PATAN DURBAR SQUARE:
It is a concentrated mass of temples, the most stunning display of Newari architecture to be seen inNepal. Listed in World Heritage Site, the former Royal Palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. One remarkable monument here is a 17th century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Krishna and built entirely of stone.

NAGARKOT:
Nagarkot is one of the most scenic spots situated about 35 km east of Kathmandu from where an excellent view of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Ranges in eastern Nepal can be seen (when weather permits). The place is also renowned for spectacular sunrise sights.

CHANGUNARAYAN:
The temple of Changunarayan, located at a distance of 14 km. is universally acknowledged as the stateliest example of Pagoda style inNepal. Besides being considered one of the greatest artistic legacies of the Lichhavian era, it is also said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in the valley dating back to the 3rd century AD.

PASHUPATINATH:
Situated 5 kilometers east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is considered to be one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the banks of the Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors are permitted to view the temple from the east bank of river Bagmati as entrance into the temple is strictly prohibited to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of the Shivaratri festival which happens around February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.

BOUDDHNATH:
This Stupa situated 11km/7 miles from Kathmandu City is one of the biggest of its kind in the world. Standing with a pair of eyes in each of the four directions, it symbolizes watchfulness. It is said that this Buddhist Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the goddess Mani Jogini. It rises from an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is surrounded by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priests.

NAGARKOT:
Nagarkot is one of the most scenic spots situated about 35 km east of Kathmandu from where an excellent view of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Ranges in eastern Nepal can be seen (when weather permits). The place is also renowned for spectacular sunrise sights.

RAFTING IN TRISHULI RIVER:
We leave Kathmandu at 7.00 am after having breakfast. We drive towards south west of Kathmandu on the Kathmandu- Pokhara highway. The drive is about 03 hours approx. As you come out of the Kathmandu valley at the highest point called Nagdhunga in a clear day, one can get a good view of the western himalayan range, right from Langtang, Ganesh, Himalchuli, Manaslu, Annapurna to Dhaulagiri.

On reaching Charaudi, the starting point for rafting, it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to inflate the raft and pack all gears on the raft. After that the river guide will explain about the river safety and equipments. Then, we float down the river encountering many medium class rapids. Here, we pass through the canyons and one may observe mainly Sal forest on both sides of the river. The rapids that you encounter are SURPRISE, BIJILI, S – RAPIDS FISHLING PART 1 & 2. The grades are of 2 to 3 scale.

The raft terminates at fishling and then we take 2 hrs drives to Chitwan national park. You are then taken to the Lodge followed by refreshments and a briefing about the programmed and the facilities.

CHITWAN:
The Chitwan National Park is the lush valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of the Churia ranges which houses the first National Park of the Kingdom. This National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife especially the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

POKHARA:
The rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara (210kms/131 miles from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the country lying virtually in the geographical center ofNepal. Located on the main road between Kathmandu and Bhairawa, perhaps there is no other place in the world from where Great Himalayan peaks can be admired from such  close quarters. TheBindhyavasaniTempleon its well-kept platform overlooks a modest amusement park. Phewa lake, skirted by large numbers of unpretentious lodges and simple restaurants, is a great beauty spot for visitors to relax in nature’s rich ambiance.

ANNAPURNA REGION:
The Annapurna Conservation Area is the most popular trekking region in Nepal. For an introductory trekking experience, this area is “ideal, with good trails and a plethora of lodges and tea houses along the way, a relaxed walking pace is possible and altitude need not be a concern. More challenging routes take you to high alpine areas in the heart of the mountains.

Above all, the scenery here is truly magnificent and quite diverse. Annapurna means Goddess of Abundance. The steeply terraced hillsides are brilliantly green with ripe crops in Oct/Nov. Beautiful rhododendron forests bloom in April/May, when orchids can also be spotted along the trails. And always, the snow-capped awe-inspiring peaks of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu Himal tower above you. The sacred mountain Machapuchre (which is not permitted to be climbed) is visible from many of the friendly villages – lovely to gaze at while you stop for a cup of ginger or lemon tea.
