It is witness to various religious activities everyday. Sadhus (holymen) from many different countries especially from India, visit the temple to pay homage to Lord Shiva. There are Ghats on the banks of the Bagmati river. These are rectangular stone platforms used for crimination of dead bodies while the square ones are for ritual baths.

BOUDHANATH: Boudhanath is ne of the largest Buddhist Stupas in south Asia. Surrounding the stupa there are different monasteries belonging to different Buddhist sects. Many tourists visit the Stupa for sightseeing and shopping of Tibetan handicrafts. During the full moon, Boudhanath is host to special religious activities.

DAMAN: Situated at a height of 2100 m, 7500 ft. above sea level, Daman is known for its vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks of Mount Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar and Cho-Oyu.Damanhas a view tower giving an expansive view of 300 miles of the Himalayan range.

TANSEN: Situated on the slopes of a hill called Shreengar Danda, Tansen is a bright Himalayan Town. It is also the most popular summer resort of western Nepal on account of its position and climate. Tansen has perhaps Nepal’s most panoramic view of the country’s chief attraction the Himalayas, from Dhaulagiri in the west to Gauri Shanker in the north east.

POKHARA: The rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara(210kms/131 miles from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the country lying virtually in the geographical center of Nepal. Located on the main road between Kathmandu and Bhairawa, perhaps there is no other place in the world from where Great Himalayan peaks can be admired from such close quarters. The Bindhyavasani temple on its well-kept platform overlooks a modest amusement park.
